The beauty of natural materials like wood, stone and cotto, lies in their tiny flaws and variations in color and texture. The terracotta tiles that make up this raw cotto floor offered by Ferrone differ from one to the other. Their natural beauty is left untouched.
Unlike most cotto floors, the surface of clay tiles used in this floor is not changed before being dried and fired. Therefore, the resulting cotto tiles are unique, each one differing from the next in some detail. Raw cotto floor tiles tend to present only slight variations, whereas structured cotto tiles are more noticeably different.
In either case, the cotto floor stands out for its pleasantly uneven coloring, with different shades fading into each other. This cotto floor is made for anyone who seeks to experience the feel of natural terracotta in its authentic state, while guaranteeing quality and durability.
Three different models of these natural cotto floors are available.
Nobile extruded cotto floor tiles have visible imperfections and the typical coloring of handcrafted clay products. The Nobile floor tiles come in the following formats and corresponding sizes: rectangle (15 x 30 cm), square (30 cm per side), skirting (7.5 x 30 cm), step (30 x 35 cm) and step corner (35 x 35 cm).
The Brolio cotto floor uses cotto from the Nobile range. The cotto tiles are then semi polished, tinted and aged. This floor is worthy of the Brolio Castle, from which it gets its name. The Brolio floor tiles come in the following formats and corresponding sizes: rectangle (15 x 30 cm), square (30 cm per side), skirting (7.5 x 30 cm), step (30 x 35 cm) and step corner (35 x 35 cm).
The Aliseo cotto floor has a lighter and brighter color and a velvety smooth texture. The Aliseo tiles come in the following formats and corresponding sizes: rectangle (15 x 30 cm), square (30 cm per side), skirting (8 x 30 cm), step (30 x 35 cm) and step corner (35 x 35 cm).
