Coconutrug, is the first contemporary rug made of coconut fiber, a 100% biodegradable material obtained from renewable sources. A registered trademark of G.T.DESIGN since 1989, Coconutrug is characterized by its new functional approach and intense sensitive touch, both distinctive traits of G.T.DESIGN's research.

The manual weaving that is still done on traditional wooden looms gives the fascinating irregularity of textures that characterize this type of rug. Thanks to a modular width system it can be customized in different sizes, and woven with other materials such as cotton, PET and polyester for a variety of uses.

Coconut fiber, in addition to being naturally heat-insulating, antistatic, and wear-resistant, it is also extremely resistant to fungi and mold. In its different variations, Coconutrug is offered to interior and outdoor projects that wish to enhance the characteristics of this exceptional fiber.
