Designer Piero Lissoni has created an elegant take on ancient Japanese matting, reinterpreting it in a selection of stones which echo the natural tones of the rush and cotton traditionally used.
Stone Tatami can be laid in a staggered formation using only the Tatami tiles, but for those wanting to replicate the original pattern, it can be laid either with a honed border in a contrasting or complementary colour to create the traditional pattern.
This is entirely down to personal choice, depending on the final effect desired. You may notice some small chips or imperfections along the ridges.
Please note that these are a feature of the Stone Tatami texture and should not be considered defects.
Please also note that honed tiles in the same dimensions as Stone Tatami are available to ensure a perfect line.

Available in Bianco Carrara, Crema d’Orcia, Pietra d’Avola, Silk Georgette®.
