INTRODUCTION
The Design Intelligence Award (DIA), established in 2015, is the first international academic award in China's comprehensive design field. It serves as a platform for evaluating, promoting, and collaborating on contemporary innovative design, as well as an innovation accelerator that connects creativity with industry and the future.
The global collection for the 10th Design Intelligence Award has officially launched! DIA is FREE to participate and provide a possibility to win one of the prizes in the €610k prize pool. This year brings an exciting new development: in addition to the Industry Group (Group A, see below), dedicated to companies, professionals, institutions, and designers, we have introduced a new category specifically for students — the InnovationIncubation Group (Group B, see below).
We welcome outstanding enterprises, institutions, companies, designers and students from around the world to participate with their innovative products, services, and projects!

Entry is free of charge. The total prize pool is approximately €610,000.
GRAND AWARD
1 Awards, ±€120.000
INDUSTRY GROUP
GOLD Award: 4 awards, ±€37.000/award
SILVER Award: 8 awards, ±18.000/award
BRONZE AWARD: 10 awards, ±€12.000/award
INNOVATION GROUP
First prize: 1 awards, ±€12.000/award
Second prize: 4 awards, ±6.000/award

Innovation Mentor award: 5 awards, ±€2.500/award
In addition, the Honorable Mention Award will be granted to about 300 entries selected (the actual number of award winners is subject to the appraisal results).
PARTICIPATION CATEGORY
A. INDUSTRY GROUP
Participants: Open to all, including enterprises, institutions, and individuals.
Submission Requirements: Works can take any form and must be either commercially
launched within the last two years or not yet launched but have a foundation for
industrialization.
Registration Deadline: Sept 20, 2025.
Topic Selection: Free topic selection.
Categories: Cultural Innovation, Life Wisdom, Industrial Equipment, Digital Economy.
Review Process: Online preliminary review + physical re-evaluation + defense final review. The preliminary review will use image and text evaluation, the re-evaluation will combine physical items with video evaluation, and the final will involve live defense by the contestants.
B. INNOVATION INCUBATION GROUP
Participants: Limited to university teams; registration requires uploading a student ID or a graduation certificate from within the last five years.
Submission Requirements: Works can take any form but must complete a full design plan and testing prototype by November 1, 2025.
Registration Deadline: September 20, 2025.
Topic Selection: Corporate topics + free topic selection.
Categories: Life and Health, Smart Cultural Tourism, Smart Transportation, Smart Hardware, X (free topic).
Review Process: Process review; shortlisted candidates will be notified to participate in the final defense and demonstration in December.
