What is Bencore? How many years has it been present and active in Italy? What was the reception and feedback that Bencore got at the beginning?

The brand Bencore was founded in 1999 to develop innovative and patented technology for the production of thermo-resin panels with a honeycomb structure (also called "honeycomb") and, since its birth, it has been producing and distributing composite materials and components for interior decoration to provide an increasingly innovative and appealing offer to the world of architecture and design. Therefore, the response has been excellent right from the start, achieving great success thanks to the outstanding characteristics of the products offered and the pre-and post-sales services provided.

Bencore is one of the evolved and new generation materials; what are its main features?

Innovation, quality, flexibility, Made in Italy and sustainability are the keywords of our vision and the way we develop and distribute our products and those of the international brands for which we are exclusive distributors (3Form, Alusion, Kaynemaile and Smile Plastics). Guided by our constant commitment to research and development and our desire to acquire know-how and technological resources increasingly, we are always keen to bring products that are both highly competitive in terms of quality and use and line with the evolution of our sector.

How can you advise architects to use your materials for interior design? What is the most suitable use of your materials in the design sector?

Bencore has made a name for itself in interior design and has become a must-have among architects, designers and planners. The unique design of our materials can transform a simple flat surface into interesting three-dimensional views, giving it a dynamic tone and highly functional thanks to the possibility of creating infinite combinations and configurations. As of this year, we have also perfected our new "Bencore Living" concept, in which our vision has been transposed to the world of furniture components. Thus, our unmistakable honeycomb families take on a new life in the form of walls, doors, tables, shelves and bookcases suitable for any home or business environment.

Would you like to tell us about an important project that has been a challenge for you and an eye-opener on using your materials? Or an anecdote, a situation, a possible collaboration on a particular project?

The most important and challenging project we have tackled has undoubtedly been the conception, design and launch of our new 100% recycled and recyclable material Wasbottle in partnership with Autogrill. The sensitivity to environmental protection comes from the spirit present in the foundation of our brand. One of our first materials in the catalogue, Ecoben, is, made from a 100% recycled cardboard honeycomb core with skins in Greencast Acrylic, which is also 100% recycled. Wasbottle, made from PET bottles and discarded plastics, represents a further, decisive step towards our desire to increasingly become a reference point for the circular economy and sustainability issues by producing and distributing sustainable, aesthetically unique materials whose applications are exponentially infinite.

Surfaces, material and light, what is the relationship between these aspects in products?

We are a brand that makes transparency, lightness and design its strong points. Light is crucial to our materials, which are among the few on the market to provide an unparalleled play of light. Our iconic materials give every product and surface a strong personality and uniqueness.

What is the message to be communicated to designers and architects in Syncropedia?

Today Bencore pursues a Total Living concept to satisfy any design and style requirement and meet the ever-increasing demand from architects and designers for refined furniture components and solutions characterised by premium design with clean lines and sober elegance, innovative artistry and materials and top quality technical details.
