Prefabrication is offering more and more benefits to the construction industry, all while maintaining high-quality architecture, staying on schedule, and keeping within budget.
A prime example is the new prefabricated wood roofs by NovelloArch. These patented products are specifically designed to address the complexities of large buildings, enhancing all internal performance and drastically reducing construction times.
The stratigraphy of these roofs consists of an upper layer of plywood or OSB, depending on the specific needs, and support joints to which large mineralised wood fibre staves are anchored on the underside.
Constructed from large-format prefabricated wood panels (25 metres wide and up to 16 metres long!), they are quickly and precisely installed on the building’s load-bearing structures. This method significantly reduces construction times and minimises the risks associated with working at a height.
These products are named Forza6 and Forza7 and are ideally used for industrial sheds, exhibition halls, airports, shopping centres and large sports facilities.
A further advantage is that the underside remains visible, inside the building and, therefore, does not require any other type of internal finishing. It is made of mineralised wood fibre slats, available in various formats and a wide array of colours, offering excellent architectural customisation options. These slats meet all modern safety and comfort standards for large public buildings, including fire resistance, soundproofing, and optimal interior light diffusion.
On the NovelloArch page in Syncronia, you can download the 3D BIM models needed for precise design. NovelloArch also provides a specialised Technician to assist with project quotes and manage all construction aspects. Additionally, textures for all available colour variants of the mineralised wood fibre slats are available for download.
NovelloArch is part of the Novello Srl group, which also includes Novellocase, a wood construction specialist.
