Fantini's activities over time denote a sort of map of values on which everything is based and on which everything depends; the source of inspiration is undoubtedly the lake landscape, a kind of genius loci that gives a certain essential serenity.

The Fantini value map has a few fundamental points, pieces of the mosaic that outlines Fantini's identity today and its uniqueness in the international panorama of its production sector; taps and shower systems are the protagonists in the design area.

We get an immediate idea of the company's values by talking to Daniela Fantini, Fratelli Fantini SpA's Managing Director. Daniela says, "I strongly believe that a company should never disregard certain fundamental values: ethics, respect for the environment and people, and that it should have a precise social responsibility to share with its employees and customers".

The Fantini company is part of the phenomenon now universally recognised under the name of Italian Design Factories and - within this system that generally concerns the contemporary furnishing sector - fully represents "taps and fittings". One can perceive the company's identity precisely by viewing the products in the catalogue. Over time, the product confirms the original choice to create distinctive, innovative taps made according to Italy's most qualified manufacturing business.

For Fantini, design is not just a simple practice of formal planning for products, but it is the sole mission; it is the fundamental founding element of being a company, becoming explicitly a precise "vision of the world" that underlies all the company's activities.

Fantini employs some of the most important international designers in the design of its products, in line with its philosophy.

The exceptional result is an extensive range of formal and expressive languages. These are very different from each other, even though they are united by a common factor that we could call "contemporaneity" and by other more subtle formal characteristics - a certain lightness, a non-trivial elegance, something gentle - which constitute the specific characteristic of Fantini products compared to the taps of other companies, with that particular identity that is recognised over time.

The theme of sustainability is naturally central to the design of the products, with people's health and respect for the environment in mind. Fantini proposes Lead-Free and stainless steel taps, two innovative strategic choices seen in the catalogue collections.

Fantini taps are manufactured in compliance with the US NSF/ANSI 372 standard, currently the most advanced international standard for consumer health protection. The surfaces of brass taps that come into contact with drinking water do not contain more than 0.25% lead and are, therefore, classified as 'lead-free'.

The same strategy guides the choices for Aboutwater, the brand born from the Boffi/Fantini partnership, to build an increasingly special and unique collection.

Fantini has always been attentive to research and experimentation for years now also introduced exclusive PVD finishes obtained using Physical Vapor Deposition treatment. This method deposits thin films on metal objects in a vacuum that keeps their surface unaltered.

Used in the aerospace and biomedical fields, PVD treatment makes it possible to obtain different shades of colour with non-toxic and biocompatible characteristics. And to keep sophisticated nuances unaltered, interesting for the personalisation of the bathroom environment and a unique accent in the residential and contract sectors in terms of contemporaneity.
