The Foster sofa bed, low and modular, is a piece of furniture distinguished by its sophisticated and enveloping aesthetic, while offering the full functionality of a bed with an integrated slatted base. Although curved lines are currently trending, the collaboration between the French designer and Milano Bedding has produced models that seamlessly blend design and practicality. Christophe Pillet's design focuses on creating sofa beds that are, first and foremost, true sofas, with an aesthetic that never betrays their dual function. The sofa is featuring a soft, rounded silhouette, creating a welcoming and sculptural atmosphere in any living space. Its low, deep forms invite relaxation while maintaining an elegant shape. Modularity is a key strength, allowing for customized configurations that adapt to various spaces, from linear solutions to complex corner arrangements, integrating also a chaises longue. The functional heart is the high-quality Lampolet mechanism: a system renowned for its ease of use, providing space for a comfortable, high-resilience polyurethane foam mattress by simply removing the seat cushion. The upholstery is fully removable, ensuring easy hygiene and long-term maintenance to preserve its appearance. For ease of transport, Foster is delivered disassembled.
