Poconos

The expansion of this vacation home was done downwards excavating through existing fieldstone, to create a podium to a baseless house. Local stone and wood was used to blend with the context, and a tilted seat-railing add directionality to the otherwise static deck front. Custom made shelving units. Each detail was designed to fulfill the owners desire to blend with the surroundings. Wood and stone were used to create a calm and quiet environment for resting. New deck was created to blend the addition with the existing construction. completed 2005 Poconos, PA 3,500 sf
