Through a research and development project with the University of Ferrara, it developed NOVOWOOD®, a wood substitute for exterior cladding made from a mix of recycled wood flour and polymers—an ecological and fully regenerable material.
NOVOWOOD® W.P.C. (Wood Plastic Composite) boards can be used for outdoor flooring in both private and public spaces, as well as for marine installations such as piers and floating docks. The sun-shade and privacy-screen profiles are ideal as architectural and shielding elements; the cladding systems, finally, are designed to protect building envelopes.
Not only aesthetics and design: attention is also focused on technical performance in both outdoor and indoor environments, where a specific fire reaction rating is essential. NOVOWOOD® offers a Fire Retardant product range, certified B s1 d0 for wall and ceiling applications.
To meet increasing demand, in 2019 Iperwood moved to an 8,000-square-meter facility, where the company continues to manage the entire production cycle using cutting-edge technologies. Today, the company exports to more than 51 countries worldwide. NOVOWOOD® materials are used in high-end architectural projects that continue to inspire both established and new designers of the future.
