The In Curved Air Bollard outdoor lamp is an outdoor lighting bollard designed to integrate light into the landscape with lightness and precision. Its presence is slender and measured: it supports the space without imposing, becoming a luminous marker that helps guide and define pathways, gardens and pedestrian areas with balance. The light is described as soft yet controlled, tracing the ground and nearby surfaces to create welcoming and safe atmospheres.

The In Curved Air collection by Platek, designed by Gordon Guillaumier, stems from a simple archetype: the arch profile defines a curved space and turns light into a sign traced in the air. Materials and finishes alternate ripples and smooth surfaces to animate the form, bringing light back to terraces, verandas and porches through an iconic, contemporary language.

Within an outdoor project and an outdoor lighting design project, the In Curved Air Bollard outdoor lamp is suitable when a fixture is needed that remains coherent with architecture and nature, working on rhythm and continuity without weighing down the overall layout. The combination of design, materials and emission control supports both private and public settings, where outdoor lighting must be readable, ordered and durable.

Technical features

• Primary aluminum alloy head
• Primary aluminum stem with CNC-bent curvature, covered with mass-colored nautical rope braid to ensure extreme durability
• Tiltable optical system consisting of high-intensity COB LEDs, CRI > 90, color selection of 2 MacAdam steps, completed with an optical system composed of a PMMA lens
• No visible screws
• Subjected to galvanic anodizing treatment: mechanical satin finishing, surface degreasing, anodic oxidation and final sealing
• Painted following a continuous two step paint process (epoxy-based primer + polyester-based colour finish) to generate a single thick protective coating
• Protective barrier against atmospheric agents and UV rays; salt-spray corrosion resistance declared higher than market standards
