Fire resistance solutions, F62 Paint - Protection of plastered and unplastered masonry barrel vaults

Barrel vaults are typical architectural elements of historical heritage that require delicate yet effective treatments for passive fire protection. Elmo offers specific solutions for both exposed masonry and plastered surfaces.

Certified REI 120 Protection

Thanks to the use of F62 PAINT intumescent coating, it is possible to certify masonry vaults with a thickness of 120 mm (and a screed of ≥ 40 mm), reaching the REI 120 class.

Flexibility for Every Substrate

• Plastered Vaults: The paint is applied directly onto the existing plaster with a consumption of 1.2 kg/m².
• Exposed Masonry: The system allows the geometry of the vault to be maintained, ensuring safety without the bulk of heavy false ceilings.
• In the presence of metal reinforcing elements (e.g., steel beams), the system can be integrated with F62 PAINT S or ONE to ensure consistent R-class protection across the entire structure.
