Balina Wall and Ceiling version is an outdoor lamp with a poetic and understated style. Designed to be installed and seamlessly integrated on both vertical surfaces and overhead architectural elements, its glass body—evoking the purity of dewdrop spheres—adds a refined luminous presence to façades, entrances, porticoes, pergolas, and covered outdoor spaces.

During daylight hours, the transparency of the glass allows Balina to blend naturally into its surroundings; at night, the soft, diffused glow enhances and defines the outdoor environment. Ideal for residential settings, hospitality spaces, or properties immersed in greenery, Balina combines formal simplicity, high-quality materials, and compositional flexibility, fitting effortlessly into classic, contemporary, or rustic contexts.

Technical Specifications

The structure and base are made of aluminum alloy, with a stainless steel wall-mounting bracket. The diffuser is crafted from high-strength blown glass. The luminaire is equipped with high-intensity LEDs with a color rendering index (CRI) greater than 90. The design features no visible screws and uses A4 stainless steel fasteners.

The product undergoes a galvanic anodizing treatment consisting of multiple stages: mechanical satin finishing, surface cleaning and degreasing, anodic oxidation, and final sealing. This is followed by an in-line double-coat industrial painting process (epoxy-based primer plus polyester topcoat), which creates a single, high-thickness protective layer. Combined with anodization, this treatment forms an extremely effective barrier against weathering and UV radiation, delivering corrosion-resistance performance in salt-spray conditions far exceeding industry standards.

The bonding of the glass diffusers on Platek products is preceded by a surface pre-treatment using atmospheric-pressure plasma, which activates surface energy precisely where needed, improves wettability, and removes any residual release agents, ensuring long-lasting adhesion. Subsequent steps include silicone application and automated assembly of the glass onto the luminaire body, guaranteeing perfect sealing. Protection rating: IP65. Impact resistance: IK05. Suitable for contemporary or rustic environments.
