Technical Specifications

The body is made of extruded primary aluminum alloy. The ring and base are die-cast in EN 44300 aluminum alloy with very low copper content. No visible screws. Moon Paletto undergoes a two-phase galvanic anodization process: mechanical brushing, surface degreasing, anodic oxidation, and finally sealing. Subsequently, the product is painted using a double-layer inline process (epoxy-based primer + polyester-based topcoat), creating a single, thick protective layer. This, combined with the previous anodization, forms a barrier against weathering and UV rays, achieving corrosion resistance in salt spray tests well above market standards.

The glass bonding on Platek products is preceded by atmospheric-pressure plasma surface pretreatment, which activates the surface energy exactly where needed, ensuring excellent wettability and removing any release-agent residues for long-lasting adhesion. The next steps are silicone application and glass assembly onto the lighting body, performed in an automated process that guarantees perfect sealing of the lamp. IP66, IK05.
