As a low-VOC, two-component product, it allows high levels of fire protection to be achieved with reduced application and drying times. F62 Paint One can be spray-applied directly onto steel substrates without the need for a предварily applied two-component primer.
The advantages of applying F62 Paint One to steel tie rods and turnbuckles include a fire resistance rating of R30–60*. The product is suitable for use on circular steel tie rods with a diameter ≥ 25 mm and on rectangular steel tie rods with a section factor (massivity) ≤ 175 m⁻¹. Application is carried out by spray. Surface preparation and the selection of any finishing coat are determined according to the corrosivity category of the exposure environment; a finishing coat is not required for fire protection purposes.
