Rippling Wall/Ceiling is an outdoor lighting fixture that combines material poetry with architectural presence. Crafted with a hand-blown glass body, handmade according to the Venetian tradition, it is distinguished by its delicately irregular surface, which allows light to diffuse like ripples on a lake, creating ever-changing reflections and shadows. Each piece is unique, and the essential design enhances the purity of the material, highlighting the dialogue between light and matter. With its discreet elegance and its ability to create a warm, vibrant atmosphere, Rippling Wall/Ceiling is ideal for enhancing façades, entrances, porticoes, and outdoor spaces, helping to define a refined and contemporary lighting identity.

Technical Specifications

Rippling Wall/Ceiling is characterized by the following technical features: body and base made of pressure-die-cast Zamak alloy in accordance with UNI EN 1774; a high-reflectance anodized aluminum reflector; and a high-resistance hand-blown glass diffuser. The high-intensity COB LED optical system features a color rendering index greater than 90. This wall/ceiling fixture has no visible screws.

The product undergoes a galvanic anodizing treatment, divided into the following distinct phases:

1. Mechanical satin finishing

2. Surface degreasing

3. Anodic oxidation

4. Sealing

The fixture is then finished with an in-line double-coat painting process (epoxy-based primer + polyester-based top coat), which creates a single high-thickness protective layer. This treatment, combined with the previous anodizing process, forms a barrier against atmospheric agents and UV rays, ensuring resistance to salt-spray corrosion that exceeds market standards.

The bonding of the glass components in Platek products is preceded by a surface pre-treatment using atmospheric-pressure plasma. This process selectively activates the surface energy, improving wettability and removing any residual release agents, resulting in a reliable and long-lasting seal. Subsequent steps include the application of silicone and the automated assembly of the glass onto the luminaire body, ensuring perfect sealing of the fixture. Protection ratings: IP65, IK06.
