The Astral Trellis bollard is an outdoor lighting element that combines function and poetry, transforming light into a dynamic and evocative graphic presence. Its design, inspired by the geometric patterns of girih reinterpreted in a contemporary key, projects a pattern of ever-changing shadows and reflections, creating shifting and engaging atmospheres.

Crafted with a finely worked stainless-steel structure, it houses a perforated head capable of shaping the light into a rhythmic interplay of solids and voids. Astral Trellis is ideal for gardens, pathways, and both public and residential spaces, enriching the environment with a luminous presence that blends decoration, atmosphere, and identity.

The body is made of primary aluminum alloy. The pole and fixing base are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, CNC-machined. The diffuser is made of AISI 304 stainless-steel mesh. The optical system features a high-intensity COB LED with a color rendering index above 90. No visible screws. The product undergoes a multi-stage galvanic anodizing treatment: mechanical satin finishing, surface degreasing, anodic oxidation, and final sealing. It is then coated through an inline double-layer process (epoxy primer followed by polyester topcoat), producing a single thick protective layer. Combined with the previous anodizing, this treatment creates a barrier against weathering and UV radiation, achieving corrosion-resistance performance in salt spray tests far exceeding market standards.

The bonding of glass components in Platek products is preceded by an atmospheric-pressure plasma surface pretreatment. This process activates the surface energy exactly where needed, ensuring excellent wettability and removing any mold-release residues, improving long-term adhesion. Silicone is then applied and the glass is assembled onto the lighting body through an automated process that ensures perfect sealing of the fixture.
