Functional sculpture, comfortable and welcoming seating which is both durable and light, and seemingly gravity-defying. Paper Planes originated from a fabric design based around graph paper: its shape comes from the folding and modelling of paper as an exploration of form and structure, to create angles, lines and polygons. Its seeming simplicity demands masterful sartorial skill: the lines of the fabric must be perfectly aligned with the geometry of the chair which means that there is no room for error.
Steel frame with flame-resistant cold cure foam. Coated steel base in matte graphite grey. Chromed steel or brass feet. The Paper Planes settee covers are not removable.
