Intumescent paint, F62 Paint S - Closed steel elements

F62 Paint S is a water-based intumescent fire-resistant coating for use in indoor environments, areas with limited ventilation, or semi-exposed locations. It is specifically designed for application on steel structures.

F62 Paint S – “Closed” round or square steel elements is characterized by:

- Fire resistance: R15–60
- Section factor (Hp/A) up to: 320 (m⁻¹)
- Protective coating: F62 PAINT S intumescent paint, depending on section factor (Assessment Report PAR/17254/01)
- Application: brush, roller, or spray
- Coverage: 1 kg/m² equivalent to 497 μm
- Finish: use F62 FINISH S enamel (not required for fire protection) to ensure resistance to atmospheric agents, applied at a thickness of 60–95 μm.
