Sister Ray Paletto is an outdoor lighting element that combines formal rigor with strong expressive intensity. Its distinctive jagged profile and compact presence define a silhouette sculpted by light, where smooth surfaces and sharp cuts blend harmoniously into the architectural space.
The recessed light source, concealed from view, ensures optimal visual comfort and a soft, controlled light output. The convex top promotes rainwater runoff, while the absence of visible screws conveys a clean, refined aesthetic. Versatile and scenographic, Sister Ray Paletto adapts to a wide range of settings, including pedestrian paths, walkways, gardens, and residential and public spaces. Its light discreetly yet characterfully defines the environment, offering illumination that aligns with a contemporary architectural language.

Technical features

The body is made of extruded primary aluminum alloy, while the optical units are produced in EN 44300 aluminum alloy with very low copper content. The pole and fixing base, CNC-machined, are made of AISI 304 stainless steel. The design features no visible screws and uses A4 stainless steel fasteners. The diffuser is made of extra-clear screen-printed glass.

The product undergoes a multi-stage galvanic anodizing treatment consisting of:

1. Mechanical satin finishing

2. Surface degreasing

3. Anodic oxidation

4. Final sealing

It is then finished with a double-coat in-line painting process (epoxy primer and polyester topcoat), creating a single high-thickness protective layer. This treatment, combined with the prior anodizing process, forms a highly effective barrier against atmospheric agents and UV rays, ensuring salt spray corrosion resistance performance well above market standards.

The bonding of the glass on Platek products is preceded by an atmospheric-pressure plasma surface pre-treatment, which activates surface energy only where required, ensuring excellent wettability and removing any release agent residues, for long-lasting adhesion. The subsequent steps involve silicone application and automated assembly of the glass onto the luminaire body, guaranteeing perfect sealing of the fixture. Protection rating IP65, impact resistance IK06.
