Custom project for the Scuola Grande di Santa Maria della Misericordia of Venezia

The Calamine steel is also chose to renew in a modern way, but with an ancient material, the halls of the Scuola Grande di Santa Maria della Misericordia in Venice.  In the 2015 we have produced PL01 Invisible flooring of large size (1,200x1,200mm), extended to more than 2,000 square meters for the halls on the ground floor and the upper floor of the Scuola, designed by Sansovino in 1534 and decorated with frescoes by Veronese.  The tiles of Calamina steel, once installed, were treated with sea water to oxidize the ferrous part and create a coppery effect, on the light blue and dark tones of the background.
