Rippling Suspension is an outdoor lighting fixture that combines material poetry with architectural presence. The hand-blown glass body, crafted according to the Venetian artisanal tradition, features a delicately irregular surface that diffuses light like ripples on a lake, creating ever-changing reflections and shadows. Each piece is unique, and the essential design enhances the purity of the material, highlighting the relationship between light and matter. With its understated elegance and its ability to create a warm, vibrant atmosphere, Rippling Suspension is ideal for entrances, porticos, verandas, and covered outdoor spaces, helping to define a coherent and contemporary lighting identity.

Technical features

Body made of primary aluminum alloy, paired with a high-strength blown glass diffuser. The optical system integrates high-intensity COB LEDs with a color rendering index (CRI) greater than 90, ensuring excellent light quality. The design is characterized by the absence of visible screws.

The product undergoes a galvanic anodizing treatment carried out in several stages: mechanical satin finishing, surface degreasing, anodic oxidation, and final sealing. This is followed by an in-line double-coat painting process, consisting of an epoxy-based primer and a polyester-based topcoat, creating a single high-thickness protective layer.

The combination of anodizing and painting forms a highly effective barrier against atmospheric agents and UV radiation, ensuring corrosion resistance performance in salt spray tests that is well above market standards.

The bonding of the glass diffusers on Platek products is preceded by a surface pre-treatment using atmospheric-pressure plasma, which activates the surface energy precisely where needed. This process improves wettability, removes any residual release agents, and guarantees long-lasting adhesion.

Subsequent steps include silicone application and assembly of the glass onto the luminaire body through a fully automated process, ensuring perfect sealing. Protection rating IP65 and impact resistance IK06.
