Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Ignazio Gardella, and Corrado Corradi Dell’Acqua founded the Italian brand Azucena in 1947, creating collections that combine elegance, understated luxury, pure aesthetics, and exceptional craftsmanship.
The brand was established to furnish the buildings they designed with furniture of their own creation. This gave rise to a series of iconic pieces—such as the Catilina chair—distinguished by the refined combination of diverse, high-quality materials.
In 2018, Azucena was acquired by B&B Italia, with the aim of preserving and relaunching the historic brand on the market through a series of “modern classics” designed from the late 1940s by architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni.
