The Medio In-ground Aluminum is an outdoor in-ground fixture that combines formal elegance, lighting precision, and maximum resistance, designed to deliver light where needed while keeping a discreet footprint. In an outdoor lighting design workflow, it can support clear readings of pathways and surfaces with an integrated device that leaves architecture and materials in the foreground—reinforcing the quality of outdoor lighting.

It belongs to the Medio collection by Platek, a landmark recessed ground lighting family renewed with new light sources and treatments aimed at reliability and quality assurance. The collection offers high performance and lighting power and is suited for uplighting important surfaces and tall trees with large branches. Its limited thickness and minimal protrusion from the walking surface (or wall line) help manage details and levels without intrusive elements; the family also includes the Full Inox version for greater resistance to scratching and foot traffic.

Technical features

• Die-cast body and base manufactured in EN 44300 aluminium alloy with very low copper content
• A4 stainless steel screws
• Galvanic anodizing treatment: mechanical satin finishing, surface degreasing, anodic oxidation, final sealing
• Continuous two-step paint process (epoxy-based primer + polyester-based colour finish) to create a thick protective coating; barrier against atmospheric agents and UV rays; corrosion resistance in salt spray declared higher than market standards
• IP68 degree of protection with Full Dry system to avoid condensation inside the product
• Recessed housing installation in cast concrete with a 20–30 cm gravel soakaway; only an IP68 connection to the power supply can guarantee the same protection to the fixture
