Novacolor's Be Grateful Wall Paper collection traverses journeys and cultures, in this collection it is in rural Edson, Kansas. The ‘Kansas’ pattern celebrates the contrast between light and dark colours, capturing the essence of these lands. In particular, the Edson hills, with their bordering wheat fields, represent the soul of this region, giving the textures their unique, evocative character and rich history.
Year 1985: Ketherine Lee Bates, embarks on a journey west to teach a summer course at Colorado College. An uncommon feat for a single woman at the time. During this journey, Katharine crosses the ‘amber waves of grain’ of Kansas by train, which inspired her famous poem America the Beautiful and, today, the design for Novacolor's Be Grateful collection.
