The Municipality of Piacenza organizes an invitation competition for the construction of a new building for municipal offices. Architectural project of Arco Associati, Engineering and Space planning of Progetto CMR.

The intervention concerns a lot on the edge of the historic city, between the important road axis of Via della Conciliazione to the north and urban development with the new large park to the south. The project for the new municipal delegation is based on the principle of permeability between exterior and interior, where the covered square will be perceived as an element of urban continuity.

The reference to Piazza Cavalli and the Palazzo Gotico, to their capacity for mutual restitution of meaning, constitutes not only an element of memory but above all an adherence to a model of city founded on an abacus of spatial elements in a reciprocal syntactical relationship.
